Tour Plan

Once you arrive, you’ll be warmly received by our company guide who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to take a brief city tour or enjoy a night out in the city. Afterward, relax and get ready for the exciting adventure ahead.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge, followed by a comprehensive safari briefing from your guide. You’ll then begin your scenic drive to Kibale National Park, with several stopovers along the way for photo opportunities and local experiences. Lunch will be served en route, after which you’ll continue to the park for dinner and an overnight stay.

Start your day with breakfast, then attend a briefing for the chimpanzee tracking experience. Chimpanzees—our closest relatives—are among the most endangered primates. During the trek, you may also encounter other primates such as black-and-white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, bush babies, and pottos, along with a variety of bird species including the yellow-spotted nicator, rumped tinkerbird, little greenbul, green-breasted pitta, crowned eagle, and black bee-eater. Elephants and other mammals may also be spotted. After the trek, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park and unwind upon arrival.

Embark on an early morning game drive through the northern section of the park along the Kasenyi Track, where you'll search for lions, elephants, and solitary buffaloes. This time of day offers prime chances to spot predators in action, especially with the abundance of Uganda Kobs attracting them. Many animals can be seen at remarkably close range. After the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast, then head out for a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel. This experience offers close-up views of wildlife, with hippos spraying just feet from the boat and buffaloes wading near the shores. The channel is also rich in birdlife, including pink-backed pelicans, pied and malachite kingfishers, saddle-billed storks, and more.

After breakfast, begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This scenic drive offers breathtaking views of the rolling highlands in the renowned Kigezi region. You’ll arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Enjoy an early breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for a briefing on the guidelines and precautions for gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Rangers will then guide you into the dense rainforest to begin your search for the gentle giants. Due to the unpredictable weather, trekkers are encouraged to bring raincoats and sturdy boots. Porter services are available to assist with carrying luggage for a small additional fee. The duration of the trek varies depending on the location of the gorilla families, some of which may be far from the headquarters, typically taking between 2 to 7 hours. Rangers will be with you throughout the journey to provide guidance. It’s recommended that trekkers be physically fit before undertaking the trek. After the experience, return to the lodge for a late lunch or choose to have a packed lunch during the trek.

Enjoy breakfast before your transfer to Entebbe, where you will arrive in the evening. Depending on your flight schedule, the guide will either escort you to the airport or to your hotel.
